TBH, I found this very depressing, Kalihi Valley Druid, probably because I also read the Civil Beat articles on the tree removal along Dillingham Blvd. I can’t believe people think we need more cement in Honolulu! I always thought Honolulu was the most beautiful place to grow up in, when I was a kid, now I’m not so sure.
But the rest of your blog post is very true. He who is without sin, etc., etc.,
Actions like this could be interpreted as a sign to get further away from the city as blatant disrespect for nature tends to reflect a lot of impending danger on the more subtle planes. The reason I focused on blamelessness is that I have a bad habit of letting my energy get drained by distraction and anger, and we're moving into a period of consequences that will require all available resources for successful navigation.
You are, as usual, correct, Kalihi Valley Druid. And I especially think you’re correct on the “impending danger on the more subtle planes.” I’m trying not to fear what is coming, and I certainly don’t fear for myself, but I do fear for my children and grandchildren. I don’t think they are the least bit prepared and think I’m crazy when I try to bring it up. It’s one reason I have read John Michael Greer’s work since about 2010. He is doing great work, trying to get us prepared.
